Its easy enough to change it - Ill skip USA and take it down to DONE4 for that extra savings... I could do usa/carribean on the next DONE4 anyway...
Thanks guys .. SO excited even though I cant book it yet.

IYHO, would it be worth having a higher status for these or just waiting until it comes? Already in business, so will have lounge access, don't need to apply for upgrades... won't get the extra status credits, but I'll be stopping a few days at each port, so should credited the SC before the next onward flights

Not sure if you guys can tell but I am confused haha.

Because I always want the best benefits I can get... I just don't understand the airline benefits as much as my hotel status benefits (free internet always, upgrades after every 3rd stay - which is better than it sounds because they can only be taken in the states :-(, late check out always and spend 2000 on staying during promo times and have enough points for about 7000 worth of hotel nights).

With a RTW DONE* booking, you will no doubt be flying on at least a few airlines. Flying business class will give you business class checkin and lounges.

OneWorld Emerald (Qantas Platinum) will give you:
First Class Checkin and Lounges
Seat Selection on BA (all others that I know will give you free seating, BA make J passengers pay!)
Bonus FF points depending on airline

OneWorld Sapphire (Qantas Gold) will only give you additionally:
Seat Selection on BA
Bonus FF points depending on airline

The extra points will be worth a bit, but not much else in my opinion.

Difficult to judge the value of things you've never had ... possibly why I am so confused about what to do.

I am happy being Hyatt Platinum rather than Diamond - mostly because it was attained from two cheap had to happen trips and one 3 week trip that was in china (cheap)...

So Silver doesn't give me anything I want - I would need to go for gold. But I just booked in another holiday... so now probably don't have the time or money.. and I think I could only afford it with the *UPP fares anyway.

Thank you everyone for your help!!
