Does anyone have a Platinum Edge card? At my wits end with AMEX!

I've just applied online. I did a transfer from my existing american express credit card. Hopefully all goes well with the 20000 points.

I haven't received my Edge card yet but still use the existing Platinum credit card. My online account indicates that it is the Edge product, and my points earn is now per the 3-2-1 per $1.00.

I'll await till Decemeber for my 20K points to arrive but since I'm in no rush to transfer them (to SQ) I'll be happily accumulating them for a while. Good luck to those who applied and awaiting the bonus points - I'm sure it will be all alright

Well I only had 3 points (just redeemed my Choices points for Wish Card voucher) and they transferred it.

So if you have an Amex Plat charge (and therefore have Ascent Premium) would your points go there or to an Ascent MR account??

Hi Guys,

When you transferred your existing AMEX card to this Edge platinum, how long did it take for your membership rewards account to show up online? When I log in online I can see the edge credit card (they are sending it to me today, since I only got it approved today) and should get it tomorrow or day after. Then I need to activate it. Does the membership rewards only show up once I activate my new edge card?

PIN purchase is not an option on all Amex cards.

Activated my card last night, called Amex to redeem my flight SYD-ADL in early January (ie non-sale period). Spent 5 minutes and all are booked with no taxes to pay. If I had to buy it, it would have cost me like $320. Instead it costs me $149 in annual fee (not to mention earning point in Ascent and 20K point bonus). Great value!

Is the free return domestic flight something that can be booked once per calendar year or once per 12months after the date you sign up?
What I'm getting at is, if I sign up now, can I book a flight before the end of the year and then another one next year? I'm assuming this is not possible but thought I would check first.

It's one free flight per your annual credit card account cycle.

As delfredo says, this is once per membership year rather than per calendar year.

I would guess that it exclude super as it generally isn't available to pay the card bill.

Yes bonus points included, it appears to be personalized and stipulates I must maintain my Green Charge Card and Ascent MR enrolment to receive the card fee free.

Ahhh, you have a Green Charge Card ..... Is it for your company or personal card?

Anyway, do you pay annual fee for your Green Charge Card (and how much)? That could be the reason why they offer fee free for life Edge card?
