Do you fly in the US a lot?
Choosing which way to credit usually takes into account more factors than seat selection
I would call again - that contradicts anecdotes from some AA elites I know.Apparently not, just enquired as a Marco Polo gold & was told no from Qantas.
I do fly PE on the 388 I want to be able to choose that front row with the added leg room so would I be able to do that with AA Plat or would I need QF SG ?
I'm not sure about AA Plat/OWS, but I certainly was able to pre-select the front row PE 388 seats on QF as an AA EXP/OWE on a trip I made a couple of months ago.
I honestly have no idea -- I fled QFF for AA a few years ago, and it's been a long time since I last flew as a OWS! As a OWE, I haven't noticed any differences in seat selection to what a QF WP has access to -- but I could be mistaken. Can QF Golds actually select front row of PE or is this a WP only feature ?
I flew QF PE on a daytime flight to HKG. I had no intention of sleeping during the flight, and I found the seat (and near unlimited legroom of the front row) comfortable. Food and service was basically business class standard. That said, I personally don't think it's a big enough upgrade over Economy to justify the premium QF typically charges -- I was only in PE because I was paying a near economy class price for it! But maybe I've been spoilt by all the J/F flying I've done ("go flat or go home"). YMMV.And how did you find QF PE ?
