Hi all - did my first Dividend Miles booking over the weekend with a very competent based UK based agent. All up process took less than 15 minutes, I purchased the miles while on the phone to him and he immediately confirmed and ticketed the booking. Booking was for a UK > HKG trip.
I was surprised the ticketing of the itinerary happened so soon, but sure enough I quickly received an email with the ticket number, he also gave the Cathay booking ref so I could choose my seats online.
Problem is - the booking ref doesnt work on the Cathay site. Or QF or BA sites. Does work on Checkmytrip and QR sites(and all looks good and can change seats).
Is this a known issue for USDM bookings on CX? Is it normal to get the ticketing done so quickly? Does a ticket number imply that the booking is fully ticketed?
My first booking with US DM - not sure if I'm worrying for no reason, any advice gratefully received!
