Hi all,

I'm flying from Melbourne to Santiago with Qantas and Lan, then from Santiago to Buenos Aires a few hours after arriving in Santiago.

The first leg is from Melbourne to Auckland with Qantas, then a Lan codeshare from Auckland to Santiago. All booked through Qantas under the one reservation so I should be able to dispatch the luggage straight to Santiago.

I'm about to buy my ticket from Santiago to Buenos Aires and was wondering if anyone knew whether I'd be able to dispatch my luggage straight from Melbourne to Buenos Aires? Would booking flights with Lan help in any way (Lan being the same airline I'll be travelling from Auckland to Santiago?)

Thanks in advance for your help!

Andrew

If Santiago to Buenos Aires flight is with LAN there should not be any problem. Most full service airlines have interline agreements to check luggage through to final destinations. Just show your itinerary when you check in at Melbourne.

As all flights are operated by OneWorld Airlines, separate pnrs doesn't matter - just make sure you tell the CSA at checkin you would like your bags to be checked all the way through to EZE & have your itinerary with the SCL/EZE flight handy which will display the connecting flight number and booking class.
