Is that right...?
To be clear:
Lets say your membership anniversary is 30 November 2021

Lets also say you have DSC flights on 29 November 2021 and your calculations say the DSC will put take up to the next tier
On 1 December 2021 (the start of the new membership year) your DSC still has not credited but you check on 2 December and you see that the DSC has been credited to the 29 Nov 2021 flights.

So that means that you technically get the next Tier on 30Nov 2021. However that is a moot point because the Tier Status practically only elevates when your SC balance says you have reached tier eligibility but is backdated to the day you completed the flights which earned the SC.
As you had technically reached the next tier on the last day of your membership year 30Nov2021, you have 1 Dec 2021 - 30 Nov 2022 in your new Tier status to get enough SC to maintain that Tier status.
If you dont get the requisite SC by 30 Nov 2022 you drop a Tier level

From a practical point of view all the SC you accumulate for flights until 30Nov 21 (whether credited later than 30Nov or not) are wiped to zero early in the 1Dec-30Nov 2022 membership year.

The first batch of DSC to post fir an offer typically takes the longest. I am waiting for DSC from a flight on the opening day of the flying window of the current promo.

Wondering if DSC are likely to come up? Also husband is considering a status run to maintain platinum..he does have till next March.
Looking for suggestions :) please

Why not be a lapsed WP like me. There are so many options out there. BFOD is an excellent option
Husband is really pushing for BFOD , it is unlikely we would do the long distance ones eg UK or Europe in less than business
The Syd to HND/HNL those tend to not be in business . Short flights , status is handy
Lol I think it is just ...it was/is nice to be Platinum. We are about five thousand away from LTG

Has anyone received DSC's yet?
This is the wrong thread for that question. DSC is not a status run and the booking window for the promo has closed. This is a question for the DSC thread: Qantas "Choose your reward" Promo. Select from Double Status Credits OR Double Points [book 25/3/22-1/4/22]

I flew on the first day of the promo and haven't got DSC yet. I'll probably give them a call after my overseas trip in the middle of the year if they haven't come through.

As I posted in this other said thread, QF seems to have updated the T&Cs of the DSC promo saying that DSCs get credited FROM 2 months after flying. Will see how that plays out in practice! En attendant Godot maybe...

Yeah like BrettV I got my DSC in record time. Flights over the weekend (Fri-Mon), DSC appearing on Tuesday in full.

That being said my claim for Jetstar flights (OOL-MEL,MEL-BNE) flown mid March and claimed as missing on the 24th March remain uncredited....

Hello,

I’m new to Qantas status runs. I have seen in the other thread the runs from MEL to CHC or AKL via BNE for 560 SC’s.

Are there any general fare rules around those a runs? Like advance purchase etc?

I would like to get one in quite soon.

They rely on DSC promos. You'll earn 280 SC if booked at the moment.

As Sudoer says, you need to book this within a DSC promo period. QF usually runs two per year, so there might be another one coming in Q3 or Q4.
