Trick can be good for friends and family, get them to do mileage runs and buy the miles off of them further subsiding the cost of their ticket. Provided they don't mind flying in Y.

Also, do you know of an OTA that will allow mixed class bookings? 3X in Y and the rest in J..

No idea about OTA.

Asked the same question here more than a year ago lol. And I did just that before, booked in J C3 - C2 with a C1 3X in Y. Couldnt price it on the OTA's website but I emailed them the booking codes from ITA and they priced and booked it for me with no issues. It was an Aussie OTA based in SYD. Not sure if I'm allowed to name them in a forum post but more than happy to let u know which one via PM. Cheers.

Anyone had any luck dumping C6-C3N on SQ? Candidate fare combines all the usual 3X with ease, neither pushing the fareclass up, nor dropping a cent of YQ. The usual 3X I know that work with other fares not really showing anything of interest.

Been out of the game for over a year and last I remembered if my memory does not fail me was that SQ is not dumpable. Any tips appreciated.

I have a similar problem with BA C6-C3 even though it can be 50% dumped on C6-C1. Yet to find a successful dump for SQ.

I have been able to dump 30-50% YQ on SQ for c6-c2 (last I saw this was about a month ago) the main issue being that they usually have relatively high BFs.
 
thanks for the reply. I was checking the SQ c6-c2 fares and it seems that while the base fares added to about 50% of the total fare and decently cheap, the fare rules were not favourable. Guess adding other flights must have pushed up the fare class beyond the cheap ones.

Although my research on this is mostly academic, I am curious to know if anyone has had success dumping BA from C2 to C2.5 - I haven't yet found a working 3x for LHR-AUH rtn (£350 fare of which £203 is YQ)

I am not so much looking for a "free" hard earned 3x to be just handed to me - I know how hard I worked to find the ones I do have - but very interested to know if it can be dumped. I've tested date range for above fare and is valid pretty much all through Feb-Oct 2015.

What is the fare you are trying to dump? How much is YQ of total?

there are 2 candidates airline, GA has YQ $325, which is 65% more on BF the other is MH has $575 in YQ and BF only $270

You don't have to be so cagey with the candidate fares. What is the origin and destination?

I'm so so new to this FD game, but I need to start somewhere! In the past I've been able to use OpenJaw strategies through sheer coincidence, luck and bruteforce. I've also been able to figure out a very reliable way to get from C6-C2n for under $487AUD without using ANY FD strategies. I imagine it could be FD to be cheaper.

If some one is willing to point me in the right direction for fuel dumping, I'm willing to share this strategy, I have working links!

Ultimately what I'm hoping to achieve is a way to cut the fat on a C6-C1 flight! My gf lives in CLE, I live in BNE and I spend a fortune every year visiting!

I understand it takes hard work and perseverance to get a working 3x. Before I start digging, I just want to know how/where best to go about this! Please PM me!

New to the world of FD therefore not a frequent poster here.


Been looking into C6-C2. Found one with BF of 500 Euros and huge YQ of over 400 Euros. END-TO-END and Open jaws are permitted, but I don't seem to be able to shake the YQ, even a bit.


Is there any kind soul who is willing to help me? I am not asking for a solution, but a learning experience.
