Digital Passenger Declaration to Replace Incoming Passenger Card

Departed CDG on Thursday and was not asked for my DPD. IN fact, I largely forgot about its existence until I received an email after my arrival into Australia thanking me for completing the DPD.

(Thank goodness I had been following this thread and wasn't thrown by the "incomplete" email. Who on earth wrote the wording for that and the "complete" email??? It must send 99% of people into a blind panic.)

No luck here. We both have iPhones upgraded to 15.5, and neither of them can do as you say. The screenshot looks similar, but there is no option to go full page.
You can on the webpage but not the app. Grab the screenshot as it appears bottom left then edit and you can see the Full page option.

Just arrived in Australia with no trouble. However, I did receive an incomplete email which, because of the helpful comments on this thread, I dutifully ignored.
Just let my sons PIL coming over from England on Friday to allow themselves plenty of time and for FIL to freely swear while doing it and then ignore the incomplete email so they don't panic.

Yes ,did my DPD did have a slight problem with the time I could fill it in as my flight was over three days, so could only be filled in 72 hours from my actual arrival date. Nightmare trying to use the iPad to take shot of the passport twenty times later when't for the manual section. Did receive on the night before departure the incomplete email ( in spite of receiving of the complete email) slight panic as I hadn't been reading this thread, I just when't to the summary and repeated the sections then received the all's good email again. Was asked at check in at Heathrow Finnair counter for proof. Not that easy as she was sitting well back and a screen between us ,handed the iPad over with the photo capture of the DPD up ,she enjoyed some of my holiday photos and handed it back for me did get the right image back up.Anyone flying out off Heathrow get there at least fours hours early ,unless one can use the priority lane. The queues are in lines off four to reach the security couldn't see how far the lines stretched but appeared to be the whole length of the building .All access to the upper level were blocked and we were directed to the end of the lower floor and allowed up the elevator in batches of ten.

When did Thailand drop arrivals/departure cards?

Published on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 18:00

The Thai Prime Minister has revealed the government will temporarily scrap the TM6 immigration form.

Deputy Government Spokesperson Traisuree Traisoranakul says scrapping the TM6 would facilitate immigration checks and reduce congestion at airport immigration checkpoints.

The government did not provide a timeframe of when the measure will come into effect but it is expected to take around a week.

So hasn't come into effect yet and is only a temporary measure while there are processing delays caused by covid and Thailand currently has low arrival numbers. If the arrival numbers start to go back up then it may end up a nightmare to go all through the checks and inbound forms.

I don't think it will be long before it's back though.

Given that it’s linked to your PP the e-Gates are either going to let you through with a valid DPD or ask you to join the end of the manual processing queue.

Does anyone have evidence that the "Smart"gates are actually linked to the DPD?

The software seems to be dated about 2017 and still asks you if you have been to south america/africa/etc, which apparently is due to previous pandemics or epidemics in those locations... never once did they update it to reference Covid at all. I find it hard to believe they've actually integrated these systems.

I think you will find that question relates to countries where Yellow Fever is prevalent, so you need to go to a manned immigration desk to show proof of Yellow Fever vaccine, at least that used to be the case. It would be beneficial if the DPD allowed you to upload proof of Yellow Fever vaccination as well, of course that would require Medicare to issue QR coded vaccination certificates for that, as the little yellow booklet with hand scrawled evidence is not easy to validate digitally.

The DPD does ask what countries you have visited in the past 14 days, so likely would prevent you form using egate if any of the yellow fever destinations were listed.

The software in the outbound Smart gates was updated to prompt pax to remove their mask for their photo shoot (it was surprising / frustrating the number who didn’t before the change). I don’t recall if the inbound gates have that update?

I do know that the outbound gates do check your details against valid flight details and if they don’t match, you get shunted to manual processing (once had a delayed flight to NOU that left on a different day/time to normal).

Meanwhile, I would be *very* surprised if the inbound Smart Gates didn‘t already have the ability to direct pax whose PP has been “flagged”.

As mention previously, Sth Am/Africa is very much in relation to Yellow Fever. It’s still out there and we’re required to have upto date jabs in our IVC (Yellow Book) if we’ve been to high risk areas.

Hi,
I am wondering if I need to redo my application .
I am 5 days pre departure .
I completed the app version and I I pushed submit - That was basically 5 days ahead - i got a reply that my application was successful !!.
Do I have to apply again during the 72 hours pre arrival timeframe ?

Good comments in regards to Yellow Fever and DPD. Does any one think the email in regards to incomplete DPD is the fact I hadn't checked in on line ,because the email came within that time frame ?

No that was just when PCR was required. Keep a note of the number and screenshot the application. Ignore any 'incomplete' emails you might get if you know you've completed it properly.

The five days from departure is from my experience actually starts from the day you land back in Australia . In your situation you've got your approval email ,you will be asked at check in for proof (screen shot off the summary ,won't fit on one photo so you need two images to cover the entire summary ) a bit awkward showing your screen shots images from an iPad as there's a plastic barrier between you and the staff. As the image easily moves if the screen is touched so you end up sharing some of your holiday snaps.

If you log on to the website and not the app you can take a screenshot then edit immediately and get the Full Page option. App doesn’t allow this on iPhone.

I just print out the DPD Summary from my confirmation email with the single A4 page showing the approval and hand it over to the Agent at checkin.

Batteries not required.
