Not sure if this had happened to anyone else? I achieved diamond in June this year, when I checked my account yesterday it had downgraded to silver overnight. A few emails and a Phone call this morning and it's back to diamond.

Apparently it's a system glitch and accounts are randomly being downgraded. They are working on the system glitch but in the meantime the call centre were able to rectify the issue for me.

I've had two calls with the diamond desk lately and this new IT system has been a major stuff up according to them. They don't know how to use it and the information it provides is not reliable.

As an anecdote, my progress was missing 2 stays. I called to get them manually credited which apparently they are unable to do until the system opens on 1 April. However, they did add one stay in Bali and credited the value of the stay I paid in IDR in USD so I received 400,000 points for a one night stay.

I called them up today and they rectified that and gave me 10k bonus points for being honest. Also from what she could see I would retain Diamond despite only having 20 stays for some inexplicable reason.

I would advise everyone to check their status as at 1 April and take screenshots of their 2018 progress.

Same issue here although in my case, I believe the culprit was with the hotel itself not training their staff on how to manage multiple bookings on continuous nights and often only the last night/stay/points was posted. I had quite a few of these last year and kept a spreadsheet outlining the discrepancies but even that didn't help much.
Would've been nice to receive 400K points in a single stay! Wonder what would happen if you didn't tell them.
Oh and by the way, yesterday the apps was showing the new stats for 2019 and today it's gone back to updating mode.

I've also had trouble with continuous stays on different bookings and cards where I tag an extra night at the Conrad Hong Kong for the weekend and it always ends up in disaster so I now try to avoid as much as possible.

I could have potentially got away with it ,as given this systems upgrade, no one has any transparency into anything including points. The diamond desk could only grant a max 10k as bonus points sadly but still could be an extra night in Asia.

I also noticed this so expect a whole load of issues come 1 April. I'm in the process of migrating to Marriott so booked JW Marriott in Hong Kong for a few stays where an additional year of Diamond may be a compelling reason to potentially mix it up.

Gday

My 2019 my status says 'hang tight while we update the rest of the meter for the upcoming year'. I have a couple of back to back bookings at the same hotels in the next month so it will be interesting to see how that pans out.

One thing that i cant work out is where to view the date your status drops down. It used to be in the corner of the digital card but hasnt been there for a while for me.

Pele.

Status always drops at 31 March so you're fine up until then.
The year for qualification purposes is 1st January to 31st December. The year for the actual membership level is 1st April to 31st March.

This gives them 3 months to get it all sorted.

Yeah, I did a diamond status match from VA plat in Jan 18. I'm hoping everything works smoothly with status through to March 31 2020, but good to know a phone call should sort it out if there are any problems.
