What happened! I've been diamond HH for years averaging 80+ nights a year. Trying to get a room in Melbourne on Wednesday and now they say they have redefined the programme and there is no longer a 48 hour guaranteed room for Diamond!!
When did that happen?? Is it because they keep giving away free status!?! Anyone else had the same issue?

Poor form if that's what they told you. Unless there are hundreds of diamonds all staying there on the same night using EVERY room.

Even called the hotel Apparently the new T&C listed states does not apply if hotel is 10% overbooked....

So it appears they are using that clause...

Poor form for a regular in the hotel and Diamond :(

That's pathetic. The benefit is completely useless then. Apart from the massive escape clause, how does a consumer know when a hotel is 10% overbooked?

The whole list of benefits for HHonors should just say "* At the hotel's discretion".
