I love Chocolate Mousse and Vanilla Slices.

The Vanilla slices I like best don't look like the ones in the picture. I like the ones with really soft pale yellow custard and thick icing on top. In Victoria, I get them from Ferguson Plarre Bakehouse.

I'm probably ignorant here but why is Pavlova considered a New Zealand dessert?

Well it seems NZ lays claims to the pavlova but they are wrong. .

Love vanilla squares too. But am usually disappointed.

Asian desserts promise so much but have found they just dont hit the mark. Moon cakes? Dislike.

I made sure I did sufficient research on eclairs and St Honore in Paris but they're pastries not dessert!

Can't go past a well executed creme brûlée for a dessert.

Halo-Halo (Filipino) is missing. A great treat in 36 degree heat. An Asian dessert that delivers.

Buko pandan is also delicious, although some may find it extremely sweet.

Thai/ Vietnamese/ Filipino/ other Asian sticky rice variants were missing.

I don't associate Japanese cuisine much with desserts, while we should claim the pavlova.

I didn't see brandy snaps and cream on the list.
