I've booked a couple of VA reward fares on DL for September this year (after the partnership ends) from ANC-SEA-YVR. I'm currently VA Gold, but expect to slide back to Silver on my anniversary date (this week)

Given the ending of the partnership, and the membership slide, I'm expecting no lounge access and to pay for baggage (USD35 per bag).

My first question is, given we're flying a two leg trip (ANC-SEA & SEA-YVR), do I have to pay for baggage twice (each leg)?

My second question is, how does the boarding priority work.

We've flown domestically once in the US before, and we were still VA Gold then and were given priority one and boarded first.

At this point we have a layover in SEA due to not being able to get through flights same day, landing at 8pm one night, and leaving again at 730am next morning

The baggage fee is charged each time you check in a bag/s. If the bag is tagged all the way to YVR and checked through in ANC, you only pay once.

Regarding priority boarding, the order is shown here:

You won't be able to use Velocity benefits if travelling after 12 June 2022.

Pretty much what I thought.

Will probably check the bags right through to YVR and simply work with a carry-on for the overnight portion.

Thanks
