Delta now lets you track your baggage in real-time

Qantas could do this really easily if they wanted to (atleast for those passengers who already use the QF tags). The only changes they would need to make are expose the data to the QF app. This assumes that QF already capture the luggage location whenever the QF tag passes through certain points.

If they need to do this it only means your luggage is taking too long to come off the plane, or has been lost

I thought this has been around for a while, I know I've had an app for it for about six months, haven't used it yet.

I did use the where is my luggage scanner at a airport which was fantastic as I couldn't find our bags. Found it within seconds as it wasn't on a carousel.
