Wednesday 31 August 2022 has DL40 (1145 hours SYD up to LAX) delayed in pushback to an estimated 1530 hours.

DL41 from LAX to SYD is arriving on Friday 16 September 2022 at an estimated 0715 hours, half an hour late with A359 N816DN.

Unusually numbered DL9890 - a special? - is arriving on Wednesday 14 December 2022 in SYD (ex LAX, A359 N508DN) at 0805 hours, 50 minutes late.

On Friday 23 December 2022, A359 N516DN arrived in SYD as DL43 (ex LAX) at 0729 hours, 39 minutes late.

Monday 9 January 2023 sees DL41 from LAX down to SYD with A359 N505DN arriving at a mooted 0905 hours, half an hour late.

A359 NS18DZ on DL41, the 2225 hours Wednesday 1 March 2023 LAX-SYD is on Friday 3 having to hold (like many other aircraft) offshore from Sydney so estimated gate arrival is 0-928 hours, 53 late. There's some rain around but no fog from what BOM says. This will probably delay the returning flight to LAX.

I was on DL40 departing Saturday (SYD-LAX); only 45 minutes late into LAX but that doesn't tell the whole story. We had a medical emergency onboard and started diverting towards HNL. About an hour or two after the re-route, the captain announced the diversion was no longer required and we would proceed to LAX. Although it was never announced as such, it later became clear this was because the passenger in distress had passed away.

I was on DL40 (SYD-LAX) departing Saturday 23 Dec. The flight was only 45 minutes late into LAX which isn't notable on its own, however if you check the radar you can see we tracked towards HNL for a time. This was due to a medical emergency , however the diversion was later cancelled and we proceeded to LAX. It became clear this was because the passenger in distress had unfortunately passed away.

On Tuesday 9 December 2025, DL41 from LAX to SYD (A359 N514DN) arrived its gate at 0921 hours, 51 minutes late.

DL40, the scheduled 1040 hours back to LAX is likely to be similarly delayed.

Thursday 11 December 2025 sees DL41 from LAX down to SYD (A359 N575DZ) arriving at 0926 hours, 56 minutes late. DL40, the return flight due to depart at 1040 hours from Sydney will be tardy.

On Friday 19 December, DL11 from LAX down to MEL (A359 N521DN) is arriving at 0838 hours, 38 minutes tardy.

The 2225 hours Wednesday 24 December DL41 from LAX to SYD (A359 N574DZ) took off at 2332 hours so on Friday 26, gate arrival is 0940 hours, 70 late. DL40, the 1040 hours back to LAX is likely to be an hour late departing.

DL43, the Christmas night 2045 hours LAX-SYD with A359 N521 DN took off at 2142 so Saturday 27 December 2025 gate arrival became 0743 hours, 53 minutes late. Thankfully the turnaround to form DL40 back to LAX is generous with scheduled departure not until 1040 this morning.

DL41 was also delayed, arriving ex LAX in SYD this morning at 0922 hours, a similar 52 minutes late with A359 N524DN. This will form DL42, a 1415 hours SYD-LAX so again a good deal of time to ensure a punctual or close to it pushback.
