My personal favorite on that list is the runway at Lukla, Nepal.

You haven't lived until you've flown in or out of there on a cloudy day!

I don't see what is so "dangerous" about many of those. Sure they may not be very long and may not have much in the way of run-off areas, but I think families of the passengers on the TAM flight that crashed a few weeks ago would think differently about potential benefits of a runway run-off into water rather than into a warehouse.

Most of the ones pictured are quite spectacular. And while short/narrow or needing a steep decent angle, do not really rate as dangerous in my book when you consider the types of aircraft that operate into them.

Now the runway that has proven itself as the most dangerous is at Tenerife.

Try landing at YRTI (Rottnest Island) when there is a 15+ knot crosswind.

I've flown there once during my PPL training so far.

It's ok JohnK, so long as you steer clear of Jetstar you won't be landing at any of them anyway.

I had wondered about why some of them were designated 'dangerous'.

If it's okay with you stryker I might pass on the opportunity to sit in the co-pilots seat next to you on flying into Lukla.

Sounds like a place to arrive with Straitman. He doesn't need much runway length .

Is anyone able to do a full (or partial) listing of the airports shown?

Other than the ones mentioned, I only recognise the first, Santos Dumont (SDU) in Rio, awesome to fly into - and reputedly the shortest runway to accomodate Airbus or Boeing craft, although I'm sure someone on this site will be able to contradict me...
