Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

SC Pannell have some black friday specials up. I haven't tried it myself but $40-41 a bottle for the 2015 Koomilya Cab Shiraz seems a decent price? Any one tried it before and recommend?

I have genuinely tried to like Pannell's wines over the past decade and even convinced a bunch of wine mates to drop into the Pannell cellar door especially to try their Koomilya range. We all left very disappointed with the wines and nobody even bought a bottle to drink later in the day.
I personally do not get the Halliday hype over the Koomilya wines which I found disjointed, and lacking depth that Mclaren Vale reds are famous for. I'm sure there are many who love SC Pannell's wines but I have quaffed what I had remaining in my cellar (none of which changed my mind about Pannell wines) and probably will not buy again. Not even in a black Friday sale. YMMV.

Langton have 2019 RWT on BF special @ $140 - Dans price beat it for me then it shows unavailable - no matter how hard I tried I could not get it confirmed
Wouldn’t it need to be available in order to price beat? Have you tried click and collect, after finding a store that has stock via find nearby option?

In fairness I love that about them. It’s a nice antidote to the perpetual Vinomofo BS on a weekly basis. I recently grabbed a case of Schild Angus Brae with a bonus twisted trunk for $192 which I thought was a great offering. Especially seeing as twisted trunk is $50pb onVM in a six pack.

Bugger - I left a coupla bucks on the table yesterday on 389 - Cellardoor have a 7 bottle offer on 2022 389 for $710 which is $2.80/bott cheaper than Dans price of $89.95 for 6 👍

If we are confessing our best price failures, yesterday I bought 6 Peter Lehmann Black Queen Sparkling Shiraz 2020 @ $42pb from MyCellars and then a little later noticed it was on special at Wine Sellers Direct for $38+freight or $40pb. Still cheaper than the $45 winery members price.
Of course the recommended action is to now buy the cheaper deal and cut your losses.🤔

Bought a 2016 Amery Road in last year's sales. It was over the hill and disappointing that the winery was selling it instead of pouring it down the sink themselves. I won't be buying their wines in the future.
