Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Got a sixer when last on offer and agree that it's a decent quaffer for the money, I personally found the Bull Trader Shiraz from Reschke to suit my palate more but of course different varietal and vintage :)

Good for sharing - Blackwell Shiraz 2020 is on sale for $30 in a six pack so a case of 12 works out $306 or $25.50 per bottle.

Bought it in the last sale and tried a bottle - not bad for the price

The Coles Group love hammering imported wines when it's clearance time, Liquorland can go as low as $5 a bottle.

Another one of my favourite Shiraz bargains of 2023 is coming to an end too (not with standing some bottle variation), 12 pack - Secret Deal - 96pt Coonawarra Shiraz 2016. well according to there sales team anyways. They anyways seems to be additional credit and/or cash backs on offer too. I used 20OFFYOURDOZEN this week!

Looool, dark plums and 96pts from Sam Kim!!

But I expect I can rightly be called out for being mean given I so often pay much more for wine - $8 a bottle for something drinkable surely compares well to $25 plus for tastiness...

I take it you are referring to Sam Kim's favourite Doris plums.

I ordered half a dozen of their Chairman Shiraz a while ago through some deal that ended up just under $20 a bottle (vs their claimed 120 RRP)

Was about what you'd expect from "Reis Creek Wines will continue making series of high quality wines which can combine the taste for both Australian market and the Asian market."

There wasn't anything wrong with it - but also nothing to recommend either.
Expensive bottle, quaffer quality wine.

Do you or anyone else happen to know anything more about this wine, or has anyone here tasted it by chance? 24 months in french oak, basket pressed, all seems to make me think it may be rather well made unless something went south...

Should mention i've tried to google around and struggled to find much information, vivino and cellartracker dont give me much information - cellartracker only popped up with the 2016 and 2017 vintages of it as well weirdly.
Also noted the Sieger name attached to it, not sure if its had a change of hands or if that's just a parent company of sorts, also have no idea why it's a "389" maybe TWE sent some angry letters or something.

Haven't tried out. Personally not tempted due to my dislike for Grenache. On their website 2016 Vintage tasting notes say 2-8 Cellar time so probably is made as drink now style and if so - it is at its drinking peak. And it is 398 - My mind also played a trick when I saw it!
