Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I grabbed a couple of penfolds bin 138 from first choice. $56 for the 2017, 10% off, $10 Amex and 20% CR is $35 a bottle, not too bad.
They gave me 2018 on collection which is $60 a bottle online. No idea which the better year is though...

Not sure if anyone else out there is a fan of Alex Head's wines (I love the 2018 Redhead Shiraz), but he's again selling half-price surprise shiraz 6-packs ($200 for $>400 wine). Get in fast if you too are a fan. Sign up first to get 10% off.

Any idea what it is? Maybe The Brunette just based on the supposed RRP?

I picked up 6 of The Redhead in the last sale but still several years away from trying one.

There is also this cheapie that seems to have decent reviews

I purchased this McLaren Vale primitivo
that I had before in a restaurant.
Great value at $7 a bottle less the cashback if it tracks
You can get the Serafino Primitivo at $89 for the dozen with free delivery directly from the winery.

Also available at the same prices are other varieties: Lagrein, Vermentino, etc.

I tuned out of this forum for a day or two and came back to a minor frenzy. I think things may be hotting up for eofy...

Meantime I just opened some of the 2012 Clarendon Brookman Merlot that Dan's sold as an under wraps last year. Truly delicious for $13 (down from $60)... Halliday was being decidedly mean to give it 88pts.

I grabbed a few of the BDX (2017) on clearance at DM. Really enjoyed them.

I had Clarendon Merlot also couple of days ago. Let it air for 4 hours and it was magnificent.

Really no cares for JH ratings outside Margaret River, more importantly Robert Parker gave Clarendon Merlot 92 points lol

I see Nicks joined the fun and started doing secret deals - just got this email with this link

It looks like Petaringa Over The Top Shiraz. Has been offered before by VM, I suppose the advantage buying from Nick is you can just buy single bottles without having to commit to a 6 pack.

BoozeBud has 30% CB tomorrow capped at $30, I believe it's limited in the afternoon.

BB seems to need minimum 4 bottles for some wines 15% off.

Paringa Estate Peninsula Pinot Noir $29 JH93 Nicks94.
This will probably be my pick, you may be able to pick and choose the 4 wines from any included in the promo.

$116 - 15% = $98.60 - 30% CB = $69.02 or so.

This is on today between 2pm and 6pm AEST via Shopback.

For those that have the AMEX 15% off offer, this can stack. Note that AMEX offers ends 23/5/2021.

Note that the Shopback site currently lists BoozeBud as having a 20% cash back. It also states that the 20% offer ends 6/5/21. I'd be checking very carefully at 2pm to make sure the site has been updated.
