Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Just wondering what one does with empty Penfold wooden boxes, having transferred bottles to fridge storage cabinets? Fire kindling? Although I don't have a fire.

If you have space they may be worth keeping - just in case you find yourself in the same predicament as Dr Ralph and choose to sell some off in the future.

Interested to hear how this goes Steady. Can you use Wish Cards on WineMarket?

No - I just got carried away with the (X)M's  I will edit my original post.

You can use the vpay directly with WM still saving the ~30% and getting cashback

For the AFFers who don't get out of the wine threads there is some info here on the statement credits

My neighbour uses hers as shelving for books. I'm getting a table custom-made with the table-top being panels from various wine-boxes I've accumulated throughout the years.

Those who missed out on the 389 it's now available in twin pack and in timber case.
"Hallowine" for $25 off expires today 3/11/16

Just flicked back and saw this. Checked my email and had a $50 sign up voucher that expired 6 months ago.
Stack that with Wish Gift Card + Cashrewards and this became too tempting to pass up.

If anybody has expired sign up vouchers in their email it may be worth a check.
By my calculations that got it down to just under under $44 a bottle. I think the last time I bought Penfolds that was the price you could find 389 for when on special.

Just read through the link you've posted. The cash withdrawal method seems a bit elaborate. As you stated, might as well just spend the $300 on Wish cards and blaze the lot on wine at DM or CM. Or as a last resort food from Woolies. I mean a man does have to eat in between cases of St Henri.

Elaborate? Hardly. But if you dont want instant cash then buy gift cards instead.

Code is CHEER20

Elderton Command 2007 for $53 (in a six)

Paxton Jones Block 2011 for $22 each as part of a double pack. I'm not sure how well that vintage stacks up but it's a good price.

It's the Shadrach. 95 from Halliday. Pretty sure it's only just been released, so I doubt there'll be many who've tried it.

According to Grant Burge website vintages for 2011, 2012 and 2013 also exist. Are they all held back?
Only the 2009 vintage seems to be on offer and at $80.
