CX's Arrivals lounge at HKG to close

I’ve used it for shower and business meeting during connections but there is a PriorityPass lounge just opposite so no big loss.

I called in a month ago just to have a look, it was packed tight with patrons. I can see it was useful in the right circumstances.

I'm disappointed as have found it very convenient.

Sad to see it go esp. when it was so heavily patronised.

Wasn’t the best but was quite handy to grab a shower and a bite to eat if arriving on a early flight.
As I mentioned in another post, the CX staff when we visited last Friday night said it’s closing in preparation for T2’s major overhaul which will take 4 years to complete. My understanding that eventually other lounges will also shut as will the whole terminal. The staff indicated that a new arrivals lounge was potentially part of the upgrade

Having used it a couple of times the best part was having somewhere to leave a bag while doing a 12 hour transit in Hong Kong and visiting the city.
