In view of the current industrial climate on both major Airlines, I thought a dedicated thread might be useful for those travelling. Hopefully people can post reliable updates from time to time.

The Australian is reporting today at the industrial action threatened by several unions could affect grand final flights. Denied by the airline.

Only a couple of screenshots from my phone

Someone posted elsewhere about possible Virgin industrial action and maybe someone can post it here.

Qantas engineers will walk off the job this Monday morning. From the Oz on-line today:

More than a thousand Qantas engineers will walk off the job during peak-hour flights on Monday morning, as NSW school holidays officially kick off.

Flights departing major airports in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth will be affected as workers participate in stoppages from 7am to 9am in each relevant time zone.

From what I could observe - not a complete picture - the strike last Monday between 0700 and 0900 of LAMEs seemed to have negligible effect on QFd.
