Flying from BNE to CNS in a couple of weeks in Business.

What service is there currently on domestic business? Is there a hot meal or a cold snack or nothing? Tea or coffee? Welcome/boarding drink? Any champagne or wine during the flight?

First time flying since Feb.

Thanks

Lunchtime service OOL-SYD last week, the J meal looked substantive. Overhearing the options from row 4 it sounded like ham/cheese jaffle (not popular) or a beef dish with potatoes which looked decent so proper meals and wine are definitely back.

Maybe the celebrity cook Neil Perry is really gone and we are no longer exposed to his "Healthy" offerings!

I believe Qantas has resumed serving meals in business class, and bar service for flights departing after 9am.

There is a Qantas domestic business class meal thread, but it hasn't been updated since the last round of changes - Qantas Domestic & International Business Class meals/menus

We are flying at 7.30am. My friends were all hoping for Champagne. Will see what we end up with.

Oh I'd actually love a ham and cheese waffle, lol. But happy with beef too. I've flown OOL-SYD ret a lot before covid but can't remember what we would have, depends on the time of day.

A little OT but I flew SYD-OOL last Saturday and flight time was only 50 mins  with strong jet stream and with turbulence out of SYD. Row 3 was getting asked what they wanted at top of descent. 10.30am departure looked very snacky as you'd expect at that time.

Had this happen pre COVID, OOL/SYD.

This is getting off-topic a little bit, but I remember of SYD-CBR flight on a 737 where the CSM apologised before landing that they didn't have time to serve any business class meals.

Can confirm service in J has restarted and we got breakfast BNE-CNS a couple of weeks ago. Sparkling available. No PDB.

There should some sort of “bubbles” available, just not the proper stuff. Flights to NZ and anything else overseas (when they resume) would be expected to have champers available. Not sure about Tassie. 😉

Edit: A couple of the GB should do the trick with breakfast
