Hi all

Trying to book a one way award flight SIN-POM on PX. The QF website often shows availability on various PX flights - and for the flight I'm after only J is available:cool:. In fact it reckons there is J availability on every PX flight SIN-POM that month.

Now, I have never been able to book online for journeys on PX flights (other than QF codeshare tickets) because when trying to pay the system "cannot calculate the fare", even though the taxes and charges have already been quoted. This is normally just a matter of ringing the QFF call centre and making the booking through them.

Now this time I am trying to make the booking and the error message given, as soon as I select the flight, is
"The system is unable to provide the miles cost for your trip (7067 - 2654)"
The call centre can't see any availability either. However I suspect this may be because the relevant PX system is down - expertflyer is showing plenty of availability in all J fares, but cannot bring up seat maps on any of its flights.

Anyone have any insight into these cryptic error messages? Always frustrating being tantalised by comfy seat availability but not being ale to snaffle it...

Cheers skip
