Just wondering if it's possible to credit the points from an ASA on QF to a different FF programme. Has anyone ever tried this and, if so, was it successful?

I don't think anyone here would have redeemed an ASA that was in a normal fare bucket given their expensive point costs, the cheaper ones go into award booking classes making crediting to another FF a waste of time.

Never tried it, however I would also like to know if anyone has and if it works.

Whilst it may not be worth it in general as the ASA as mentioned will probably be a lower class earn, if you are just on the edge of a status tier with another program it may be worth it if it gets you there.

The cheapest ASA's book into P, U, Z and X classes. These are Qantas' reward fare buckets.

AFAIK, no other airline frequent flyer program will allow one to earn with travel on Qantas in these fare buckets.

two ways to do it

1/ call and ask for the FF to be removed. then do a retrospective credit with the program you want to credit to
2/ get the check in agent to delete QFF and put your new FF program in

not sure what it will accomplish though...
