Credit card options for retirees

OT but interesting.. a while back we borrowed to buy some realestate and quickly paid it down.
Turns out the Bank is quite happy to hold the loan on a 0 balance indefinitely for zilch fees and we can redraw it anytime we want.
Seems a really odd feature from a bank, given their well earned reputation but not complaining...

Mine was fairly straightforward: superannuation and dividends. There was nowhere to add bank interest, only term deposit interest, so I left that out because I did not want to get into a discussion. Sorry, I only really remember the parts that were relevant to my application.

The good thing was that it provisionally accepted my application as soon as I submitted it - so after that it was only the evidence needed to be sent
 
Has anyone tried to get a new AMEX lately?

I just applied for a QBR card because my existing QF Biz card is being retired (no pun intended) - it was quite straight forward. Just provided an inductive company revenue amount and personal income (total pre tax).

I suspect if I was applying for a personal AMEX, it would be just as easy?
