Has anyone ever tried this?

The flight I want to do it on is sitting at J9 C9 D9 I1. So there is plenty of room, but as it is U0 I would need to ring up. Is this a futile effort??

I don't think you can convert from one award to the other and U availability wouldn't have anything to do with Any Seat Awards.

Surely you would need to cancel the Classic Award (less 5,000 QFF points cancellation fee) and then book an Any Seat Award.

Have you looked at how much an Any Seat Award is on the day you want to travel?

Yes, but ASA is "cheap" when U availability is there. I need the sector count and the J SC's wouldn't kill me either :)
