Not sure why the OP mentioned possible action by FJ? They’re not even touching this ticket?
That makes sense… although the OP says the NAN-SYD-NAN are operated by QantasApart from operating the NAN legs, sold as a codeshare but operated by Fiji, CX don’t sell QF operated flights as they don’t have the rights to.
Yes it’s a crackerI can see the fare on Skyscanner for random dates but can’t look deeply at the moment on the CX website - I’m out and about, but is the return “stopover” free?
If you can get two free or cheap stopovers in SYD, then that’s a cracker - if you don’t mind going to Fiji twice.
Nest it with a seperate SYD-NAN return (points or pay).
That’s what I’m seeing. That makes sense… although the OP says the NAN-SYD-NAN are operated by Qantas![]()

Very difficult to book via CX. For maximum utilization of the fare, one really needs to book using a competent travel agent.I think the long layover at end makes this a safe bet. You booked via CX website?
The OPs original post mentions there will be months between the 2nd last flight HKG-SYD and the last flight SYD-NAN. Yes the bags would connect if the time between flights was 24 hours or less but in this case Sydney airport won't be holding the bags for a couple of months to load onto a flight to Nadi.Your luggage will be through checked to NAN
The other benefit was once the first flight is flown, the price is Locked in !
changes made to the ticket before departure will usually trigger a reprice to the current fare in the day you make the change.Curious as to what you mean. Isn't it locked in once you pay for the ticket? Just bought this ticket for 2p, but to another US city instead.

No it’s actually notCurious as to what you mean. Isn't it locked in once you pay for the ticket? Just bought this ticket for 2p, but to another US city instead.
Yes thanks. I did know that but didn't realise that it's the same price if you fly the first sector, as thought most fares have steep penalties for changes after the first sector. Thanks again. No it’s actually not
Something I didn’t know
Until you fly the first sector, it can be reprice.d if you make changes
