Flying into HNL from SYD on JQ. ETA is 0745 and i'm looking to purchase a connection onto Maui on Aloha or Hawaiian. How much time should I realistically look at leaving between the flights. I can book one at about 11:30, should this be ok.

If I happen to miss the connection, does anyone know what Aloha/Hawaiian will be like? Am I going to be stranded or should they accommodate me on a later service.

Jetstar say the minimum connection time for HNL is 135 minutes. Considering JQ3 is notorious for being late, I'd leave at least that.

I was thinking more than that based on US immigration delays. Don't know how long it takes them in HNL

Off QF3 in June (a Friday), it took 45 minutes in the queue before I was processed - I was one of the first of the PAX from my flight to reach the immigration processing hall.
