Confusing Jetstar Boxing Day Specials

Not the sale expired but the advertisement expired, because there was no sale on Boxing Day. As mentioned above, on Boxing Day, 15 minutes after receiving the email from jetstar.com, (midday,) I virtually checked every day in May and June 2011 and found no $599 to BKK, as advertised in the email.

I know with many of the D7/AK sales I have booked within 10sec of them going live in order to be successful. There's a chance no specials were loaded, but there's also a chance that they were gone before 15mins.

Yes, theoretically it is possible that a promotion is closed after 15 minutes, due to a great demand, but it looks like there was no demand for this fare at all.

I've just spent about an hour making (again) some dumb bookings in *class for MEL-BKK in May and June 2011 and on most days in May and June 2011 *class is virtually empty. If indeed they closed the promotion in the first 15 minutes you would have to wonder about the criteria of such promotion, as it looks like there was no great demand for this specials.

Jetstar.com announced a 24 hours sale on Boxing Day. They would indeed have to be silly to close a promotion half way through without actually selling any seats before the end of it.

Have never seen *class fares go so fast.

Almost 0% chance these specials were actually bought.

It seems there is very little demand Q1 2011...since when have JQ had two sales going at once with both being extended and travel dates only 4 weeks out? The 'Wish Upon a Star' sale i still showing almost 100% availability for all days in both whY and *Class.

I'm 100% certain the $599 *Class seats were not loaded.
