Hi Guys,

Just had a change of flight by 5 minutes offered to me, accepted it through the email interaction, how can I check it was / i s re-ticketed? I have it in "CheckMyTrip" and it still has a 081- ticket #

Thanks.

I had exactly the same thing happen late last night on a BA leg of a OWA in J next year with multiple carriers - including MH who are known to cancel bookings where reticketing doesn’t happen in a very short timeframe.

I woke to a notification from the Qantas app this morning. I went in and accepted the 5 min change on my LHR-YYZ leg and almost immediately had a new confirmation PDF, including updated e-ticket number - different to my original booking.

So if you have received a similar email after accepting the change, if it has a ticket number on it, and that ticket number matches check my trip _and_ is most likely different from your original e-ticket number, you’re good to go.

I should probably buy a lotto ticket seeing as I didn’t lose my whole itinerary over a five minute change as seems to happen to a lot of people! You should do the same if you have a new ticket already and no cancelled legs of your trip.

I had an award flight on QR with a minor schedule change: land 5 minutes earlier than scheduled, called Qantas, got Hobart, he expained that for this kind of change, no reticketing. My booking is still nice and sound, in fact a few weeks later it had a major change and got reticketed (I called too for this change). Would be nice to hear from someone knoweledgable what sort of minor changes don't require reticketing.

QF being consistently inconsistent as usual on matters of ticketing seeing as a 5 minute change to a flight on my booking (and OP’s it seems) triggered automatic reticketing of the whole OWA itinerary.

What’s also inconsistent is that I lucked out and by accepting the change online I got a new ticket almost immediately…which is how it should work of course. But it came as a real surprise as I was steeling myself to go into battle with Capetown and Suva over the matter if any of the MH, UL or JL legs got cancelled.

Well for what its worth, just a 5 minute change and the ticket number is different. with BA. My spidey sense was buzzing last night though!
Is the departure time changed? If not, is the arrival time earlier, or later. Mine was same departure, for a flight 5 minute earlier, which could be why there was no reticket.

Funny enough, yesterday I also received a 5-minute change (5 min later) for a BA departure from LHR - BA must have pushed through a bunch of schedule updates. The confusing bit was the subject line of the email from Qantas said, "Important - The departure date for your flight has changed" but the date did not in fact change, only the time, but it didn't show the original date/time in the message, so gave me a bit of a fright at first. I accepted the change and received the new PDF e-ticket itinerary (with new ticket numbers) within a few minutes.

I believe if reticketing is needed, CheckMyTrip will show a blank ticket number until it is done?
Can you explain how to see the e-ticket number? I've tried the web site and the iOS app both - neither option even has an e-ticket section (or even a name section which is typically where the e-tickets appear)? More details, just shows aircraft and baggage allowance and "QANTAS.COM AWARDS" as the agent.

Note - I checked with the Royal Jordanian web site, e-tickets numbers are shown properly next to each passenger name. And they are in the Qantas e-ticket PDF as expected too - so I think my ticket is actually okay, but just trying to understand what I'm missing about checkmytrip.

I use the app "Check My Trip" but often its in the pdf near the top under "Passenger Ticket Information"

Go onto the CMT website. Bring up the trip. Click on the flight number and it takes you through to a screen that has a space for ticket numbers. If you see a ticket number for every flight, you're all good. I don't know the RJ website but the QF one will show a ticket number of a flight has ever been ticketed, regardless of whether or not it still is.

I think AA is doing their daylight savings time changes.

2 of my PNRs QF awards had changes.

BNE-LAX-PVR (same flight numbers, arrival in PVR now one hour earlier). QF emailed receipt has the same 081- eticket attached to it.

MTY-DFW-MIA-BON the first flight has changed to about 4 hours earlier which is good news as it was a tight connection. There is a different AA flight number. I accepted the changes on QF and 5 minutes later a Confirmation and E-Ticket email arrived from QF. However there is no e-ticket now on the PDF (there was on the original booking). Check My Trip also shows a blank in the e-ticket section.

Should both tickets be reissued or only the one which has a new flight number?

I have had CMT missing ticket numbers at times when I do have the PDF emailed to me from QF - seems a bit of a glitch. Whilst it's a useful App I don't rely on it.

just check you have registered on check my trip with exactly your name as per QFF systems. I had to re-register with check my trip with my given name and initial of middle name and then surname which is how QF have it. Doing that, flights which were showing no e-ticket on Check nt trip - they suddenly turned up

Sorry, but I'm still not having any luck. Do you mind posting a (redacted) screen shot of where the "space for ticket numbers is" I have spent an hour on both the iOS app and the web site and simply cannot find it anywhere. It has nowhere for the passenger names either (which is where the ticket numbers usually appear on other sites like RJ or in the Qantas PDF).

I've attached shots of both the trip level and the page after clicking on the flight number.

This sounds promising. Did you have to create a whole new CMT account or just edit your personal information? I've edited my personal information to include my middle name in the first name field after a space - but doesn't seem to have helped so far. The tickets do indeed have my middle name on them.

Overall not so enthusiastic about this web site compared to how it's commonly recommended here. At least I can see the e-ticket numbers fine through the RJ web site (which match those in the emailed PDF from Qantas), so at least that option is there for the same type of confirmation.

What's the heading section that you redacted (right above Frequent Flyer No.) - is that your full name? As you can see from my screenshot, I don't have that entire section with Frequent Flyer No, E-ticket, Cabin class, or Seat. It seems like the problem must be with including name-specific information somehow, as @AndyC1970 suggested. Thanks.
