Confirmed SQ booking now showing as waitlisted!

In January, I redeemed two J seats LHR SIN from our individual SQ Krisflyer accounts for travel in Jan 2024. A week later, two seats LHR SIN SYD in J became available so I changed the bookings. I have two printed etickets with status ‘confirmed’ for the full itinerary, seats selected for both sectors, the extra miles were debited from our accounts and and taxes were charged to Amex.

Yesterday I looked to see if we could change the SIN SYD flight to the evening departure and thought it odd that for the first sector LHR SIN it showed no seat had been selected, despite a note on the eticket of the seat selection. I looked at my partner’s booking and found that her confirmed booking is now listed as ‘waitlisted’. A call to SQ this morning has not resolved the situation and all I received was the spiel re waitlist clearance etc etc. I questioned that if the booking was waitlisted then why were the extra miles deducted, seat selected and extra taxes charged, when, as we all know, none of this happens for a waitlist. Still no resolution so I requested to have this escalated.

Anyone else had a similar issue, and if so, how was it resolved?
