Concorde Room - way to access in T5

Hi All,

Just thought I would mention that I arrived into LHR after arriving in F with QF (T3 then transferred to T5) and I'm a WP member and the lady at the entrance of the Concord room could not work out if I should gain access. She seemed to think that just flying in F was not enough and that under the QF FF scheme you needed to be a Chairmans Lounge member.

After insisting this was not the case and being tired and grumpy I told them to forget it and I would go to the normal F lounge and contact QF about this poor service. She immediately granted me access to the concord lounge where I stayed for around an hour.

For those who are interested...In my opinion its not much different to the F lounge just quieter and better service etc.

Cheers

The problem is that she may be quite right, for the wrong reasons. As said and mentioned many times, flying QF F (i.e. QF operated F) is not sufficient for CCR entry rights. QF don't give this information on their website (re access to CCR) and throwing a tanty at QF would probably elicit nothing.

I've heard many exceptions before and I agree that the entry manuals that the BA staff have re: who gets in are not well written (I saw a page out of a said manual, and I will tell you that they are not well written!), but more often than not QF F pax are not allowed in the CCR, only BA F pax. QF CLs, BA Premiers and BAEC CCR pass holders are the only exceptions to the "flying BA F" rule (according to the known clue sheets and BAEC benefits on the website).

Thanks - Yeah looking at the responses, I have concluded the only certain way is to book a BA F flight from T5.

Given the earlier comment that the CCR is not really different to the F Lounge @ T3, I may pass and just enjoy the champers in the F Lounge :)

Having said that, I would have thought entry into the Concorde Room is covered the the BA/QAN JSA.

Does anyone know if this agreement is public, if so that could be what governs the CCR entry.

I have a noob question so I apologise in advance.

I have a OW ROW business class ticket.

Can I upgrade my BA flight out of London to Chicago to FC using QFF points? And will this get me into CCL?

thanks

No. You can only upgrade QF flights with QF points.
Would need BA points to upgrade that leg.

What if the flight was a BA flight but a QF code share? Can you upgrade then? and if so would the same rights to CCL as if it were on a BA ticket apply?

Nope. QF metal QF flt no only.

What is all the fuss about the CCR?
IMHO, it is the most overrated place at LHR....
