I've been fortunate enough to have 4 complimentary lounge passes gifted to me. There are 4 of travelling (2 adults & 2 kids) and I'd like to use them in Sydney if possible before heading to the USA. 2 are from CC churn and two are from P1 benefit transfer. Is anyone able to help me out where I can use all 4 together... I'm assuming Qantas Club Lounge but just wanted to check as I've never used them before.

Thanks in advance

Have you logged in your QFF account to see where in there you can log your pass numbers onto each flyer's account.
I was QFF PS one time, with a at that time, QCC card, the staff member said had to do it all electronically now, just flashing the QCC under the reader at the door/reader at the desk does not seem to be enough.
Go into your QFF account now, if you have some time, and take a look where you can enter numbers, I thin it should be there on your account somewhere.
The staff member when I did the entry, asked me to log into my QFF account, and then enter the set of numbers on the back of my QCC, there and then, at the top of the escalators to the MEL QFd T1 QP.

Hi All.. hoping some wiser heads can help me. There are 4 of flying to USA. We have been gifted x2 P1 lounge passes. I'm sure you can't bring guests with a one off pass. My plan is to let the wife and 1 child use the F lounge. Should I just transfer both P1 passes to her? I got a message saying you must select at least 1 adult. Has anyone successfully transferred a lounge pass to a child under 18?

You may be able to get the kids on without needing to use 2 of the lounge passes, provided they are under 18.

Generally kids don't count as guests in QF lounges, provided they are with someone.

I am however going to put down a massive YMMV when it comes to lounge passes like that.

Clause 3.1 of the T&C states that invitation users are not entitled to bring guests, including children.

And, in the F lounge you must be travelling QF or JQ to use the pass.
In the J lounge, can be One World airline.

Saw the Clause 3.2, but wondering depending on the age of the youngest, I wonder if QF may let them get away with 3 passes? And, if at the lounge door they ask and are told 'no', whether them they could put the 4th pass against the youngest?

The standard complimentary passes (not referring to the P1 passes) are for QF/JQ only

I don't think it's possible if you couldn't actually do it?

Is the child on a separate booking? Does the child have a QFF account?

You might need to call Qantas to get it sorted!

In response to colleague Rusty776, (& get_me_outta_here), its seems very hard for them to do anything at the lounge, as they can't do anything without making you log into your QFF account, which is a pain in the bum, if you got a queue behind you, as you are holding them up.
That was my experience, not sure how they would treat people who plea ignorance, lucky I know my QFF credentials in my head.
They (QF) at the int QFi/QFd J lounges, seem to make us do a lot of the leg work, these days.
In the past, if you had a single lounge pass, ie, QF PS, you could just do the swipe under that green light reader, but now, its that you have to link any passes prior to the entry.
You could do it and plea ignorance at the lounge door/gate/desk, and see what they say.
I guess its how QF saves money now.
Ideally, I guess they would prefer we did it all ourselves!

Personally, I prefer the old way, without having to do the linking of passese, but I guess we don't make much of a difference in the larger scheme of things, QF wise.
I had read of linking on here before, but not till I had to log into my QFF account at that MEL QFd QP at the top of the escalators, did I get it.

Thanks for everyone's input. I linked Mrs Rusty and 1 child to the F lounge and used the other general passes for myself and youngest. Shame we couldn't all get in together but thought it would be better than wasting x2 F lounge entries.

On the day, go the the F-lounge first and see what they say.

You do after all have 2 x valid QF F-lounge entries and children in other circumstances aren't counted. And you have 2 x valid J-lounge passes too.

So they might say OK for all into the F-lounge. Worth a try!

Yes, I would try polite please approach to try to all get into the F lounge. But, otherwise, good on you for arranging it thus for 2 of the fam to get into the F lounge.

Worst case scenario is they say no and two of you have to do the "walk of shame", which is what you had prepared for anyway.

It's good to try to use those P1 passes so at the very least two of you get to use the F lounge- otherwise it would be a real shame to let those valuable passes go to wase.

I've just gifted a colleague four passes for he and his family, travelling to the US in a couple of weeks. I transferred to his FF account and then he allocated to each person on the booking. No need for everyone to be a Qff. I know not the same as your situation as this family will be using the Brisbane lounge.
