Hi everyone - was wondering if people have ever been given complementary/operational upgrades on Oneworld operated flights based off your QF status?

Yes we received an upgrade to J on MH MEL-KUL when I was QF gold. I was shocked and happy, given I wasn’t an MH elite and there were two of us. I assume it was an op up.

Yes. Once, in 2008. 🙂

Was QF SG at the time and flying IB on one leg of a LONE5 (how little I knew back then…). MAD-MIA flying with my, at the time, fiancé (flying together on the same booking) and I got the beep at the gate. She (QF NB) didn’t.

After a little explaining that we were travelling together and a fair bit of rather harried chatter in Spanish amongst the gate staff, we had two mostly hand-written new boarding passes and seats together in J. A much more pleasant way to cross the Atlantic.
