Comped an extra year for a chance to attain Platinum??

I just checked my QFF profile and there's been an extra year added to my Status requal! It is meant to end July 2013 (in which case I would maintain Gold), but now it says July 2014. The line at the bottom "Additional status credits..." still says that I need to attain Platinum by 31 Jul 2013 though...confusing. Does this mean I get an extra year to achieve Platinum? I'm halfway there already and this is my first time of getting Gold so I'm very excited and hoping its not a system error. Anyone else?

No, it just means your next year membership has been mailed out I believe. The cut-off date is still as stipulated.

If QFF decide to hand out status renewal to some members who have not yet re-qualified it generally happens about 5-8 weeks before the end of their "year".

his fits that time frame and is what I believe has happened. (I take it you have the bookings to reach SG in July in any case). Expect to sea a new SG card in the post shortly.

What is being displayed is a known issue with the website. It is showing WP qualification as that is the next step up from SG.

Your SC's should reset as normal on July the 31st and your qualification year starts again from August 1.

I got my Gold pack a month or two ago. I can't upload images from my current computer but My Summary says:

Additional Status credits required by 31 Jul 2013 to attain Platinum: 535

OK, you were not comped, you earned it (I should have remembered ).

What you are seeing on the web site is quite normal - you have (re)qualifed SG and to attain WP you need to get to 1400 SC's - you have 5 weeks to earn the additional SC if you were to attain WP!

All restarts from 0 on August 1.
