If I am somewhere in the forums heirarchy and want to get back to the top of that hierarchy, it is my intuitive action (based on decades of using web sites) to click on the Community Forums link at the top of the page.

When I do this, generally nothing much happens. At best I sometimes get a drop down list of four actions, none of which takes me directly to the top of the forums heirarchy.

What I actually need to do is click on the Home link and then click on the Community Forums link to get the desired action.

On a the other hand, if I am in any of the other category hierarchies on the AFF site, clicking on Community Forums link does take me immediately to the top of the Forums heirarchy.

While this is not a huge thing, it is nonetheless an annoyance, and the behaviour is consistent across a number of different web browsers, so I don't sense it is a client side related issue.

I just gave this a try on a desktop, and while I concede the point that clicking "Community Forums" in certain circumstances brings up a drop down list of four actions, if you then click it again it gives the expected output. I think this is happening because there are other actions that are hidden under this link.

Thanks, that's a COIK (Clear Only If Known) non-intuitive solution but will do for me!
