I know you can combine SQ and TK on same award ticket by calling but I have kind of a weird situation.

I am planning a trip next Easter to Croatia and Italy and planning to do Croatia first and thinking of this itinerary - BNE - SIN - IST - DBV with last 2 legs being on TK as the SQ flights gets in at 08 25 and TK at 05 30, IST - DBV is at 07 25.

From what I have observed SQ doesnt have access to TK flights as soon as the booking window opens, so my plan is to book BNE - SIN - IST (on SQ) as soon as the window opens and hope that SQ has access to SIN - IST - DBV on TK a bit later.

My question is will SQ agents allow me to make this change later on?? I am willing to pay the change fees.

If thats not an option I will have to look at other airports as Turkey requires a e-visa for AU citizens if I have to recheck.

I don’t think SQ will let you change your ticket later on to add the TK flights as this would require not only a destination change, but also to change from an SQ award to a Star Alliance award.

If you can hold out just a little bit for TK availability to open up, hopefully a suitable SQ award flight/s will still be available then.

I guess I can just book BNE - SIN first and add TK flights later. I am looking at the easiest way to get into DBV and this seems to be the best option. SQ charges only 99500 miles for saver rates to IST but 130500 to anywhere in Europe.

Not sure if this helps, but I'll detail what I've done previously.

I had MEL-SIN-IST booked and ticketed on SQ rewards, however my final destination was TBS
I could see on the SQ site that IST-TBS was available on a redemption ticket

Called SQ, asked if the IST-TBS could be added on, they were happy to do it, they recalculated the total number of points cost, and it cost me only an extra 2000 points plus around $50 in taxes. (and that was in Business!)

Would def encourage a call to SQ about it.

Interesting and glad to hear that. So there is hope after all!

I suspect this would very much depend on getting a good call centre agent though. Was this before the pandemic by any chance, when SQ's call centre was actually in Singapore? Nowadays they're in India or the Philippines and getting things like this done isn't quite so easy.

Was in Feb 2022.
Did take 2 phone calls, first call held the additional seat in and they were going to get back to me with how many additional points it was going to cost; second call the advised the points difference and additional cost to pay.
