I am going to guess yes, but I have never tried. I recall someone complaining they accidentally overpaid said Canberra mob in gift cards and was unhappy they wouldn't help return the money.

You don't refer to a card in your post. But assuming you are referring to the Westfield EFTPOS cards, then these are not restricted to Westfield only stores. Although, some merchants may choose to not accept them.

I rarely have a problem using them at non Westfield based locations.

I had a similar problem last year. It seems like it should be OK to pay that merchant if you have a balance outstanding, but don't inadvertently overpay them because they make it difficult to get refunded.

FYI, I suspect that another in store Coles Mastercard offer is imminent.

Staff have removed them from the shelves at my local store. This is usually synonymous with a deal occurring.

I just had to explain to the checkout chick that the T&Cs do not limit the customer to 5 cards per customer per day but 5 cards per account. I copped a pretty nasty eye roll and a huff when I pointed out the first line of the T&Cs, and was then handed the customer care number. I didn't call it of course and proceeded to buy 5 cards on three accounts.

First employee would only sell me 5 and laughed at me . Went back 2 hours later and the next employee was chill and sold me another 10. Looked like the person in front of me had 5 flybuys card as well.

Picked up 5 today. Only 2 on the shelf but opened the cabinet and there were a few more right in front of me. Probably heaps more in there but didn’t bother looking any further. Easy.

I really don't understand why these staff get so involved in matters that do not impact their day/salary/role.....
