Coles gift card offers

Well done to you. I went to 5 stores on lower north shore Sydney yesterday and could only find 5 $50 cards at one store. 4 stores had none at all. In fact some stores didn't even have any DJ GC cards left (there is a DJ GC offer on as well).
Try lower socio economic areas.

At the same store today there were a stack of $200 DJ cards. I'd not seen the $200 card in any other store.

None of the Coleses I tried over the last few days had anything other than a couple of $50s (and that same store had none later). And now of course thanks to Dan (Do Not Congratulate!) I can't search anywhere else.

To those still looking for the Coles Gift Mastercards, keep persevering is my advice.

I've visited 15 stores in the last 4 days. With mixed success. Very surprisingly the biggest haul so far was today.
There are still a few in Sale - for those who live within 5km of course.

None of those sound very attractive to me, but I have an offer to collect 2000 points in that timeframe for just spending $50 at Coles.

Way to go.

I agree, but I must say, I did a test on one of my accounts during the gift mastercard spree. i bought several of them against one of a few flybuys accounts just to get the $5 in flybuys points from spend. The 4 week spend, which came in just after, came in at $60, the same for a one off spend, but the next one off spend 3 days later, came in at $160.

So the purchase of the giftcards themselves triggered the 1000 bonus points based on a spend threshold? Or are you referring to the "normal FB points" based on your total spend (which was $1000)?

Normal flybuys points for the spend, wasn’t an offer, wasn’t exactly $5...

I'd hate for @clifford to rush out and buy a $50 GC anticipating 2000 additional bonus points for just spending $50.
Ah, I get you...... I took this all out of context. my post related to gift cards affecting future $ spend required offers, which in the past it hadn‘t.

All good. I have also noticed that my wife's account does not get as affected as mine WRT $ spend offers. She gets them on a rolling basis (ie as soon as one ends, another is offered the next day) and she generally takes them. But the last two have been the same points (anywhere between 2600 and 3800 points usually) however the spend amount dropped from $90 to $70. My account offers are very different. I'm up to 2800 points for $190 spend. I bite at no more than $120.

Interested in other experiences, either already, or in coming weeks. Threw one of the “family” cards under then bus with the 15% off offer just to grab ~900pts. 4 week offer at $60 week came in just after that spend, but a single offer the day after came in at $160 and continues to be the same :(. While past experience says it never affects spend offers, something might have changed!

Our experience exactly the opposite. Any one-off increase in spending would see the required spend for subsequent offers jump by at least $20 to $30 (from $50) or more. So would sacrifice one account for long term hibernation until trigger $$ fell back.

Only once made the mistake (2016 or 2017) buying $100 MC for 2,000 points. All accounts trigger $$ jumped for nearly 3 months. Woolies did well out of us.

My card has been permanently stuck at high offers despite not having spent much at Coles anymore as I haven’t been able to do the gift card spend in bulk anymore & shifting most of my spend to Aldi. Wonder how long it takes to get the spend requirement down. Been 2 years since I did anything major during the old Amex Platinum Edge days.
