Hi everyone,

I'm on a flight from Sydney to New York via Dallas (QF7 to QF4393) - Qantas Gold member. Can I check how many pieces of checked in bags I will be able to bring? I understand the standard baggage is 2 checked in (32 kg limit) but unsure how the Qantas Gold transfers to the Dallas to New York (La Guardia) leg which is operated by American Airlines code sharing.

In case it is relevant, I'm on Premium Economy for Sydney to New York (QF7) and Economy for Dallas to La Guardia (QF4393 code-sharing). Booked together so logic should suggest that the limit for the QF7 flight should be okay for the remaining leg? But couldn't find anything on Qantas (an error message comes up when I click view baggage allowance...)

Thanks in advance

I’m doing the exact same flights on Sunday. My understanding is that your 2 piece (upto 32kg each) baggage allowance will continue on the AA flight

As a connecting flight your QF allowance will go through fine.

but anyway oneworld sapphire (ie QF gold) on AA get 2 free checked bags, so it's consistent in that regard.
