Received my bonus points for transactions after the 15 march 2011 to 1st April 2011 only 1000 points Today now awaiting Aprils points which Is 4500 hope everyone receives theirs I did fax the detail through to Amex FYI

Received my 5 bonus points today following yesterdays puchase at **** Smith - I phoned Amex 2 days ago for the 4th time (and after faxing T & C 1 month ago) and was assured that a special AMEX code had to be entered for me to continue to receive bonus points till 30 June 2011 - just waiting now for previous transactions to be credited with missing bonus points and the 75k for signing up to charge card.

I will start buying Wish gift card again at *Smith to maximise the bonus points until end of June.

Can someone confirm if the terms and conditions of the D!ck Smith 5X promotion state there is an expiry date of 30 June 2011 but there is a limit of 1 per customer.

If is there what does the limit 1 per customer mean? I don't want to keep pushing and then end up losing the bonus points I have gained.

Spoke to a very helpful Sharon at Melbourne office this morning.

Was aware of the issue and read out the notice about incorrect date etc. Basically

* Points stopped posting on 13th March
* All bonus points will be honoured up until 30th June for already registered members.
* Membership Rewards team is reviewing accounts on a month by month basis
* 8-10 weeks for posting of bonus points - Pretty standard really as Sharon said.

i also had a giggle when she read out the notice to me and mentioned that a lot of people had been posting on blogging/forum sites. I suppose that's the power of the internet

In conclusion, I'm happy and hopefully don't need to chase it up anymore

My local **** Smith's have run out of the Wish Cards - I collected some Wish Cards from my local Woolies - had them loaded/activated at **** Smith - no probs - bonus points allocated next day.

There wasa second part to the promo that the limit of 1 applied to.

It does not apply to 5 point bonus.

Continuing to buy more WishCards is zero points risk apart from time...for even if the 5 bonus points did not turn up yould still get the 1.5 that you would gain if your purchased your groceries/petrol on your Amex.

If you have a Platinum Edge card then you do lose out if the bonus points don't come through for the Wish Cards. You would get 3 points per $ spent on groceries and 2 points per $ for petrol on the Edge and only 1 point per $ for the Wish Card.

Correct however as I noted above in my post. I have been verbally assured that points will post and I am confident they will be. 6pts is better than 3 pts

Has your DS store run out of DS Gift Cards? They work exactly the same as the generic Wish cards. The DS Gift Cards can be used at all the same places as a generic Wish card and its unlikely a DS store will run out of them.

Agreed there is no risk in purchasing Wish Cards but without the confirmed 5x bonus points I would not want to inconvenience my parents who pay for everything by cash.
