Nice work, is the figure they gave you more/less than what you were owed?

Far far far more... :D But that was also due to me wanting to "cancel" the card... I had a list of missing bonus points, and no call backs, and other small issues.....

Sorry to say this John...after several calls I managed to get all mine few months back.

I've got mine as well. Real run around and the last few points were covered by an ex-gratia points credit from the CSA because marketing couldn't find the transactions despite paying me for other amounts of the same statement and my listing of the dates. I just keep sending them emails - where are my points?

Sent from my iPhone using Aust Freq Fly app so please excuse the lack of links.

I am still about 10-15K short, but have not called back for a few months. I have only called about 4 times so far, so probably still have another 3 or 4 calls before anyone at Amex decised they should do anything about it..

:( Saw this thread and realised that Amex has not called back....

Success! Finally! :D

Called yesterday and was answered by a really great lady from Sydney office. Promised to chase it all up for me and call me back today.

She called back today with her list of transactions that does not match my list of transactions but around 75% of what I believe I am owed. After some discussion that figure is now at ~85%. She said the membership rewards team will credit these bonus points to my account and could take up to 2 weeks.

The disputed transaction is for Dick Smith Indooroopilly which shows up as Tandy on the Amex statement but is clearly Dick Smith on receipt. I am not sure if I still have receipt and if I don't she will call back to let me know what I need to do to prove the store is a Dick Smith store and credit the remainder of the bonus points.

Good result overall though and I should treat myself to an upper class return to HKG on VS with these bonus points....

Still no points! :(

Who was I trying to kid with the previous post?

I demand resolution while I am still on the phone with Amex in most cases now, as their promised call backs NEVER happen!

However, I also like when they don't call me back as promised as its ammunition for when the annual fee is due and some points are required ..........................

Called yesterday and still nothing.

The Amex rep on the phone called the lady that was supposed to be helping me and she was supposed to be calling me back this afternoon.

I think I will just keep calling them until this is resolved and I may even ask for, demand, compensation as well....

I can safely say that the bonus points are now in my MR account. :)

I called last week and asked for complaints section and finally got resolution from a team leader in the call centre. Glad it is finally over....

Yes it sure did. I was not going to let that many bonus points slip out of my hands especially when I did not do anything wrong.
