re: [closed for registration] 6 Points/$1 at Ðick Smith (over $50)

it does not seem to apply for the gift cards tho:(

Yes unfortunately if you try and buy giftcards on-line it links you through to a non-DESE site for purchase. So no coupon for on-line giftcard purchase.

re: [closed for registration] 6 Points/$1 at Ðick Smith (over $50)

Is there a cap on the points earnt under this promo?

re: [closed for registration] 6 Points/$1 at Ðick Smith (over $50)

No cap on earnt points, AFAIK.

Bought a $200 Wish Gift Card over the weekend, and earnt 1,000 bonus points, plus the 200 standard points (for an Amex Gold).

Went to Woolies, and did the shopping, and earnt some QFF points there.

Shame that I can't use the offer to earn extra points when I fill up with BP Ultimate. Should I consider switching Vortex 98 for the extra points?

I registered for this promotion, however, my purchase just posted without the 5x bonus. Should I be concerned? The purchase posted as "SYDNEY CBD POWERHOUSE SYDNEY NSW," could this be the reason?

Could well be. Perhaps the "Powerhouse" merchant account isn't flagged for the bonus. I'd give Amex a call and have a chat. I wonder what occurs for the stores which are still using the Tandy merchant account (Indooropilly QLD comes to mind)

I was able to register my Amex Gold card.

Hmm. Now that I know it works, what will come next? ;)
Does the bonus work for Wish cards?

Registered two nights ago, then made a purchase yesterday (around $100) to test it out. Have gotten my Hopscotch points for the promotion, but not the 5x points promotion. Ugh. Have to call Membership Rewards tomorrow.

Bonus points are already on my account for purchasing both Woolworths and Wish gift cards. :)

re: [closed for registration] 6 Points/$1 at Ðick Smith (over $50)

I have thought of a "wrinkle" to try...will see if it works over the weekend and if so I would expect to be able to up my point earn substantially.;)

re: [closed for registration] 6 Points/$1 at Ðick Smith (over $50)

bought 6x $50 gift cards (X mas present) 3 days ago..

Total points earned : 3450 (****smith + hopscotch)

gotta love these sort of promotions!

(I "HAD" to split the transaction because I needed separate receipts for each of my friend... and the counter sales looked at me like I'm crazy...it took him at least 15 mins to get all the cards charged)

Or 4,050 points (hopscotch) for $20 x 15 giftcards.

Yes, but if you are going to max out hopscotch anyway, it may not be the best.

Hmmm... I thought I was happy with 13,000 points for a $2K spend on gift cards (2,000 [purchase] + 1,000 [1.5x on plat charge card] + 10,000 [5x DSE]) but if there is a way to earn more points on the transaction then I'm interested.

Or 4,050 points (hopscotch) for $20 x 15 giftcards.

And if bought separately all at once......Or zero if Amex decides to use the MR T&C and term that abuse as they did with some previous promos.

As this is capped at 25K the risk is perhaps slight...however do take not that Amex does have software that picks up repeated tx.

I was called last week by Amex after my daughter bought 3 by $2 Nokia games through the Ovi store for her phone in quick succession, and they wanted verification of what the tx were and why they were done that way.

you have till Dec 31 to get the tx...so I would not worry about pushing things too much to run up qualifying tx.
