Classic Award booking 6 mths out- chance of more seats coming available?

Hi there

Am trying to book 2 Y Classic Award seats CBR-JNB in April 2013. While there is a fair bit of availability at present, 95% of the available days route via PER onto the SA service (still a QF flight number) as opposed to via SYD on QF. My preference would be to fly QF for the long haul leg, but none of the available days fit with the required schedule.

My question is, are there likely to be any further classic award seats coming available for the QF services or should I just suck it up and route onto SA via PER? I am a PS with QP in QFF if that makes any difference.

IME, despite QF agents telling you seats may become available closer to the date, it has never happened.

You could always book what's available, and seat up alerts on E/F to know if and when seats do become available.
