Flew MEL-SIN on QF metal (QF 35), AY code share AY5014 on 23 August. Later that evening, on AY metal, AY 82 SIN-HEL, then AY flights in Europe, and back to HKG, finishing with QF metal and QF 30 HKG-MEL on 14 September; all business.

The QF30 SCs and points posted 16 Sept, other AY flights a few days to a week after each respective flight. However the AY codeshare AY5014, the first flight, stubbornly failed to post.

I submitted an on line points claim 24 Sept, rejected 25 Sept (but calling it AY501). Called up QFF Plat line 25 Sept to query - guy there said he'd put it through manually as QF 35. Next day, shows up as QF35, rejected, 'Economy, Pls check flight details' .

Hmm, I call again, giving details again, offering to scan and e-mail BP. No worries, will be fixed. And it was!

So this is how the Activity Statement looks:

No idea where the 1 Oct rejected submission came from :) Maybe ome-one just wanted to make the point NO!

This isn't a whinge, - just an observation that a certain amount of perseverance is required under some circumstances :)

Yep, those AY codeshares operated by QF seem to be a problem across the board. I am still waiting for two from September (BNE-SIN and SIN-BNE) to be credited to my AAdvantage account. After waiting the mandatory 15 day period to be able to submit an on-line claim, about 5 days later I received an email from AAdvantage stating: "Thank you for submitting your mileage credit request. We now must receive validation from the AAdvantage® participant that the following travel is eligible for AAdvantage mileage credit". That email was 11th October and still nothing, so expecting its likely to take the full 30 days (plus 15 days mandatory wait before submitting on-line).

I have two more coming up in November, so expect that won't post until Christmas!

The AY-operated sectors on the same ticket all posted about 1 week after the flight was taken.

So this is not a problem unique to Qantas Frequent Flyer.

Me, three... still waiting on credit for QF5 (sold as AY5004) from SYD-SIN on 24th September. Two mails a week apart with the QF stock boarding pass attached to the QFF email, and no response... all other AY and QF flights on the itinerary credited without issue

And yet every single trip I have had on CX and/or MH in the past 5-6 years has at least one flight that does not credit to QFF.

Sometimes it can take a while to get them credited. I don't give up that easily.

sigh, i have to do that for my AA trip as well.....

Still "persevering" on my pending points and SCs from a QF-operated AY5004 on 24-Sep... I'm up to 4 separate written requests to the QFF e-mail, all with the boarding pass attached; the last with the Finnair ticket attached as well. No response or acknowledgement to ANY of these mails (and yes - I'm checking the junk mail as well). Then there is 2 online 'claim missing points' submissions (both of which were rejected for 'No Record of Travel'), and also 2 separate calls to the WP line (both of which suggested I try again online, or via e-mail). Can anyone help with the secret handshake to get these sorted?

Hi dairyfloss,

I am still waiting for my September AY codeshare (operated by QF) to properly post to my AAdvantage account. There is a definite problem between QF and AY systems for those flights. I now have 4 from 4 that have not posted. My 2 from September, after using AA's on-line credit request, sending an email to AAdvantage customer service and calling AAdvantage customer service, are now showing as "Transaction Pending", while my November flights are lost in the never-never somewhere. I have emails scans of all boarding passes and attached e-ticket receipts, but still AA has been unable to receive confirmation from AY that these flights are eligible.

Thanks Red Roo - PM sent... I do appreciate the quick offer for support!

Cheers.

A BIG thanks to Red Roo for helping me get to closure on my missing AY5004 code-share! Looks like my e-mail account may be cause for some of the issue (we can't figure out why - but the files I'm sending just never make it to QFF), but in any case I had a call with the QFF team after we figured that out, and it was almost instantly resolved from there with some extra ticket info confirmed over the phone.

Now... what's next to worry about... ahhh yes, some SYD-HKG-SYD double SCs and bonus points... but I'm still inside the published lead time on those, for the moment!

Cheers.
