Hi All,

I have followed everyone's advice (Thanks all!) and done the AA Plat run... now I want to use the points for flights.

I have the following questions (I know these are in other threads but couldn't find the details - maybe they should be put on a sticky at the top of the forum on AA freq. flyer forum):
1. What is the call centre number I need to call to redeem my flights? Is there one in Hong Kong?
2. Are there any hints or tricks to when I am looking for flights?
3. I am looking for flights HKG-LAX or Vancouver
4. Do you know if you can tfr points from CBA Mastercard and Citibank Visa card to AA frequent flyer scheme?

Thanks for all your help and advice!
Tony

I would call AA in the US. Using skype or similar it is a free call

To check availability, I use the various airline sites to look for award availability on specific carriers ( and use EF for AA availability )

Hi Dave,

Thanks - Knew you'd be the first to respond!

I was under the impression that there was a special number that we need to call. If so, does anyone know this number? Else I will call the general number.

Thanks

If you are a Platinum of Exec Platinum number, then you can call the Platinum Desk or Executive Platinum desk number. The US 1800 numbers for these special desks are printed on the back of your AA Platinum or Executive Platinum card.

As these numbers are unique for these status levels (as opposed to QF's system that is the same number for all and then prompts for the FF number to determine status), it is generally not good to publish these numbers in a public forum. If you don't have your card, then PM me and I will send you the number.

Hey NM,

And knew you wouldn't be far behind!

Thanks - just looked on the back of the card and will use that number there.
