The new rate will be 2:1

Old rate, current rate is 3:2.

Not sure if we are talking the same rates, but I think KF/VA are going from 3:2 to 2:1 - so 1.5 points is still the current rate before it goes to 2.0 points for KF/VA?

I did a second VA transfer to beat the devaluation so currently there is a handful of points left over at Citi. My Citi Visa was way too generous and I am happy with the results.
I chose VA purely because it would be a struggle to use them over at SQ within the 3 plus 1 years. Everyone's circumstances are different so follow your heart and your brain can catch up.

Sorry if this has been raised somewhere else and I didn't see it, BUT:

I was able to transfer my total Citipoints balance to KF. It didn't limit me to 15,000 increments. I slid the scale all the way to the right so it showed zero points remaining. Have checked my KF account and they are all there! :)

You just need 15k to start the process. You can take 15k.1 to zero then start accumulating again

I suspect Citi are experiencing plenty of transfers and queries. I just booked on 6 March 7x Delta flights in preparation for the coming devaluation.

I log in to check my points and 1 of 7 is at international spend ( 4 points per dollar ) and the other 6 are at new international earn of 1.5 points per dollar... have just spent 30 mins arguing the dates and reading the T&C to the operators and trying to convince them that Delta is an international company, charged in USD ..It really cannot be this hard.

Now i await an "investigation" as to why...

No biggy but if done 15K at a time you end up with a whole extra point each time = 10,001.

I thought I had the same thing happen to me where I had a bunch of international transactions but points that apparently correlated to the new earn rate, so I opened up an internal message asking them to review. Two days later the right amount of points were showing and their reply said that it was always ok, just that the points can take 24-48h to post (even after the purchase has FINALLY appeared on the transaction list, also 24-48h delay). In the same reply was a cut&paste of their official notice of changes upcoming on the 18th.

I will say that I've never been able to figure out how to see how many points have been posted and when for a specific transaction, it's all deduction based on how many total points I had before and how many purchases I've made since then. If anyone knows how to track more accurately I'm all ears.

Curious that every ****tybank devaluation follows American Airlines almost to the day... Perhaps we should start a rumour... #JustSayin

As of today, my Citibank Rewards Account has a grand total of 2 points in it.
They are patiently, but contentedly, waiting to be devalued.
I dont think I have ever been happier with Citibank!

Just cleaned out citi prestige before KF devaluation...still only taking less than 2 days to appear, and now the problem will be flying 16 x suites PER - LHR etc in the 3 year time frame.... may bump into you somewhere in the air Cove....

Why are members chosing Kris Flyer over Virgin? Just curious as I have 230K points but don't like the idea of expiry after 3 years.

Citrusb if you work hard on your keyboard you will find us in Suites going SIN-LHR in a couple of days.

That is like about 3 one ways to Europe in J. So not so much.

The most I have moved to SQ in one hit was several years back when I transferred 1.5 million points at 1:1 from Amex when they had a 10 % bonus going on (which at the time meant one extra J return to Europe).

I was redeeming for 5 then, and so you go through the points.

rickb - If you fly SQ in Business Class, First Class or Suites those points will be lucky to last 1 year, let alone 3.

Let me encourage you to use them on something nice. Once you fly SQ Suites, it's bloody hard to go back to anything else.

Penegal did I hear you say Krug? Suites do get you roped in that's for sure.
It used to be about a million Kris miles per return ride so we are delighted it is less now.
We are in a SQ lounge now.
