Bye Bye, Citi. It was nice knowing you (OK, not really but the points were great).

Got a free bottle of wine tonight by flashing the Citibank card....then sneakily paid the bill with another card :)Have already TF all my points so didnt want some orphaned Citi points!

Just transferred my remaining points out last night.

I will keep the signature card as it's fee free for life but my next step is to BT the remaining amount and reduce the limit. Anyone know lowest limit for Citibank Signature?

Should be 15K. Howeveer if your limit is more than 30K I would wait to see if they send you a new updated card with Infinite logo. Some Signature Card holders got the email last month.

For future spend Amex spend is covered of by various Amex cards to maximise spend.

But the dilemna is where to spend my spend which can only go on VISA or MC. Luckily some of this can go on PayPal which means more Amex spend. ;)

But where now to spend where they only take direct VISA/MC, or where the Amex surcharge is un-attractive?

I personally give a much greater value to a KF point over a QFF point. And it is not just the $$ value, but also that I can easily get J?F redemptions through KF (including *A redemptions) whereas through QFF it is a lot harder.

So for me 0.75 KF point is of more value than 1 QFF point.

The Citi Prestige still earns 1KF point/per$, but with a yearly fee of $700, though you do also ger one hotel room night. I am not sure my potential VISA/MC only spend is great enough to make the extra 0.25 KF/$ worth it. Though for the first year you will also get 35K of KF points.

Where are people going to put their VISA/MC spend now?
* Which cards?
* Are you switching to a QFF linked card?

I'm retaining. Like you, I value 0.75KF/$ more than most of the QF point options out there and I figure they're done with devaluations for this time around.

However, I have picked up a BW Platinum for overseas spend as I'm not going to wear 3.4% for 0.75pts. Would rather pay no fee and keep the QF account ticking over.

Thanks for the confirmation... my limit is already $15k! Just don't want to have a 15k CC with no balance owing!

I echo your thoughts.

For me I'm still running my Amex Plat Edge for majority spending. I've got the BW Qantas card for some bills and looking at ANZ cards at the moment. I'm not keen on paying $700 annual fee for the prestige.

I don't use QFF points and much prefer to either warehouse them or use on SQ.

Yes I used to take the 2KF points per$ too that this card used to deliver for international spend.

I am tossing up whether in future for international spend to go sans-points (sacriledge I know!!) using CitiPlus Debit, or 28 Degrees because. of their better currency rates and lower fees (including $0 yearly card fee), or to stick with Amex cards that can earn 2VA per$ or various KFpoints (depending on spend type) with higher fees/poorer rate.

My international $ spend is not large and is largely holiday based (so some higher point rates do apply).

Citibank Sig is still one of the highest earners for points. If any are better they have high annual fee and are yet to downgrades, we know that is inevitable for any paying more than 0.5/$ now.

The gravy train is ending somewhat, but who knows whay new doors might open up. Playing musical chairs for sign up bonus's is still lucrative.

Another in the same boat. What I can put on Amex goes on the WBC SQ Amex or Amex Plat Edge (mainly supermarket/fuel). I do have a WOW Visa at no fee (every time I threaten to cancel they waive the fee) which is a reasonable card for my Visa spend but actively looking for a viable alternative. So far few are obvious, particularly given my Citi Sig is fee free.

I transferred most of my points out to QF but due to the 10k block limits imposed I still have 7k points orphaned. And suggestions as to what I should do with them?

Just discovered that my bonus points, which I should receive for March spending from a promotion they sent me in January, will not be credited into my account until the end of March :( Well done Citibank!!! I guess it's better than nothing although it would be nice to get those bonus points and transfer to my SQ before 18 March.

I don't like citibanks points transfer they have higher minimum transfer than any other credit card I have, even after March 18 your existing points still should have had the same value.
Anz has devalued some of there points but existing points kept the same value.

What is the new QF transfer rate?

Transferring would still probably be the way to go despite the lower transfer rate and you have 70% of what is needed to transfer. So I would suggest spending enough to get your balance to 10K and then transferring.

Good idea - thanks
