Hey, so it does pay for bpay points as i received my points :)
have home insurance to pay, does anyone know if this would pay for points? searched some old threads where some people claimed that T&C's stated "insurance charges" are excluded but others said that they received the points...

thanks in advance

I just recently paid for comprehensive car insurance and greenslip and received points for both transactions. I've also received points when I bought travel insurance recently. I also pay my home and contents insurance by the month and get points.

Has anyone tried applying while already having another citibank CC. I've got the Plat, but they won't let me transfer with any of the current bonuses, i.e. cheaper annual fee for life and 60k points. Just wondering if people have been successful in holding a plat or sig card and applying for a higher card and being approved and given the bonuses?

Ta

ahh great, thanks.

Re: Citibank Signature "Free for Life" - has this come back? thought I saw a link ???

I have a Platinum card and about a week and a bit ago signed up for the Signature/veda fee free for life card. I was approved the Signature Card. Don't know about receiveing the bonus though, not expecting it but would be a hugh win if it came through. Reminds me to move all my debits to the new card and then getting rid of the Platinum card.

Re: Citibank Signature "Free for Life" - has this come back? thought I saw a link ???

Don't know if the current promotion is the VEDA one, but on their site its 60k bonus points and $299 reduced fee for life. Since you got fee free for life, doubt they'd give you points as well, lucky if you do though.

Re: Citibank Signature "Free for Life" - has this come back? thought I saw a link ???

Oh ok, 60k for $299 seems like a deal to me if I was planning to churn cards though - that converts to 40K KF points which is almost enough for one way business class Australia to Asia. That said, fee free is pretty cool and it was about time I moved on from the Platinum card which I have had for almost ten years now fee free.

Re: Citibank Signature "Free for Life" - has this come back? thought I saw a link ???

Just wondering, if I were to apply for limit increase, would that end up on my credit file? or is it more of an internal check for citibank?

Also, how did you go Alanslegal? Get a response from Citi yet?

Re: Citibank Signature "Free for Life" - has this come back? thought I saw a link ???

When I've applied for increases in the past they've said they can do X on the spot; if i want more than X they need to do a credit review. Whether or not the credit review shows up on your credit history, or whether it's just an internal servicing check, is something I don;t know.

Re: Citibank Signature "Free for Life" - has this come back? thought I saw a link ???

I signed up for the VEDA fee free for life
I'm not expecting bonus points though
None on first statement

Sorry to be not clearer, I made a new application via the Veda link (fee free for life, no bonus points) [so I did not actually migrate across from the Platinum].

I tried to cancel my Platinum card this week and then they offered 0% for 15 months BT or cheque to self, how can I say no to an interest free loan? So I took up the offer and will deposit the monies into my home loan offset account - and try to cancel the card again in 15 months.

Ah, woops, my bad.

Re: Citibank Signature "Free for Life" - has this come back? thought I saw a link ???

Alaslegal - How long ago did you apply via the Veda link (fee free for life, no bonus points)? I want see if it is still working.

Has anyone using this link had any trouble getting a Veda score? I get the following message "Sorry we were unable to generate a VedaScore band". I am wondering if this is because I have been at my current address for less than 3 years, because when I go to the Veda web site and generate a credit report my score is excellent as I expected. Any suggestions?

Hi, it worked for me about 4 weeks ago

Re: Citibank Signature "Free for Life" - has this come back? thought I saw a link ???

Thanks Mark3000, a good sign.

I have also seen the 60,000 point bonus and fee free for first year offer for the Citibank Signature card. What are the opinions out there on which is the best option - fee free for life or attractive bonus with fee free first year only?

I signed up about four weeks ago as well.

Sign up to both? Cancel the fee chargeable card after you receive and transfer your points ;)
