I got rejected online (I am guessing it's because I applied and received the Virgin Money card the month before). This was in early June. No enquiry on Credit Savvy as of July. How long does it take?
If they are rejecting you because of information they have (the Virgin Money card) they may not even do a bureau enquiry. Depends on how their decisioning systems are setup but bureau enquiries cost money so some/many credit providers wont even go to the bureau if they already have info about you that would by iteself reject your application. I suspect this is the case for Citi, I too got rejected for a Citi card, had no credit enquiry lodged and hence suspect it was purely due to a recent Virgin Money card application.

Thanks mate, I had hope this was the case. Good to know.

Just got this card. Applied quite some time ago and never heard anything back after I provided documents. Found out that they were concerned that when I applied I did not have an apostrophe in my surname but my supporting documents did. I explained that when applying online you could not enter an apostrophe so I removed it. The apostrophe appears on my card.

hey guys when you do an application and you have a investment property with your partner. Do you put half the mortgage and half the income? Or do you just put the full amount as if you owned it yourself? I've done it both ways in the past and it was fine but I was wondering what is the correct way given how annoying the credit process can be these days.

Personally, and irrespective of whether this is my investment property or home (both of which I jointly own with my wife), I put the full loan amount and only half the repayment. I recall a few applications over the years stressing to only put your share in, so that is what I have always done. That way, if they do a credit check, they will obviously see the full amount of the loan, but your share on the repayment shows that you would not be as financially stressed when they make their provisional assessment.

One thing that does get on my quince about Citi cards such as this one is that they don't work with Google Pay The Virgin Money (also by Citi) same thing - just says your bank doesn't support Google Pay.

Six or seven calendar days before I got the alert from Credit Savvy.

Very strange. Got rejected. Called up to complain. They admitted they had looked at the wrong info and advised me they could reassess which they did and then approved with a ridiculously high credit limit. Just waiting for the card now.

My wife was provisionally approved for an even ridiculously higher credit limit when she applied 3 weeks ago, still waiting on final approval even though they have had her docs for ages.

What is people's experience re time from approval to time of receiving the card?

About nine calendar days.

is this offer still available?
Unfortunately not, needed to have applied by 30 June.

Does anyone have screenshots of the original offer page? Having read back through and seeing people having issues with confirming QF bonus eligibility, would like to have that in my back pocket in case that becomes an issue for us too.

Did you get an instant rejection online?

Mine is still in Submitted state, after uploading the documents on the 28th of June.
Doesn't sound like normal.

Give them a call. My application was in the same state after over a week. Called them and they processed it on the spot (they''ll ask some questions like previous address, recent cards etc) and was approved within 5 minutes.

Applied 26 june. Lots of phone calls asking similar questions as others (previous address, home loan provider, other credit cards). Approved 8 July. Received card today. Immediately paid private health, so I'm over the spend threshold already :D QF number showed up in 'miles registration so fingers crossed.

Interestingly I had 3 credit inquiries with creditsavvy from citi. A hit of about 35 points (takes me from excellent to very good, pah!)

TedE I have the screenshot if you need it - PM your email address if required.

I must have overlooked it in the benefits of this card in the original promotion link (which is now not there), but a colleague of mind also got the card and received a Priority Pass Lounge membership plus a couple of free passes with their card. I did not receive this, so I rang up and they organised this over the phone and set me up with codes to Priority Pass. How many others are in this situation.

I do notice the new promotion (50k points and $199 first year fee) so somewhat lesser has the benefit clearly listed, so I'm a little surprised I didn't notice it.

Yes, information relating to the PP passes was sent in my welcome letter along with my card.

Apparently, it was a system error and I wasn't declined after all. I could cal the customer care and retrieve my application and continue.
Is it worth getting the Diners Club companion card?
Ordinarily, I would say No as my wife has the Qantas Premier that delivers a similar 1 QFF per dollar, (and there are plenty of others), which have MUCH better acceptability than Diners.

However, I am about to take off for an overseas trip, and whilst the aforementioned Qantas Premier gets you 1.5 QFF per dollar, you need to pay the hefty FOREX fee (over 3% i think). So I have ordered a Diners Club to use for hotels, flights, spend over in Europe, so I can avoid the international transaction fees, and I know acceptance is much more widespread.

Having said all that, the Diners is free and doesn't cost you a credit enquiry, so could be useful if you do a lot of online shopping from abroad. There are good FAQ's on the citibank page here: Citi Australia - Diners Club
